@rickylascaze001 You’re right. These old Disney animated shorts were made to show in the theaters, like the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. Hence the quality. “Johnny Test”, meanwhile, is meant for viewing only once on TV (and that is if people don’t have anything better to do.)

It really fascinates me that around this time there were no computers and that animations like these used about 4 – 5 animators. Seriously the old cartoons like these move so fluent and smooth, the crap like Johnny Test seems so stiff compared to the hand made animations from the golden age.

a good thing is that disney still does those Goofy’s tutorials, like the old “how to swim” or “how to play golf”

I wish Disney Channel would still air these cartoons. They are the best of the best! Along with Looney Toons on Cartoon Network.

That music with Pluto copying the crab sounds a bit like “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

@jwbstudios i know but disney channel shortens it by getting rid of the good parts
EXAMPLES: Clock cleaners, The origanal was a cartoon but the short versoin is a half musical, Early to Bed, Donald fighting his alarm clock is haliourus but they cut so they could save time so Hannah Montana could start on time :-(

These looked so great. Technicolor turned out to be an excellent archiving medium.

Count the butt gags. Disney was obsessed, sorry to say.
